Using LightBurn with the Raymoto R1 / R1 Pro

Complete Setup & Operation Guide

This guide will walk you through how to install LightBurn, configure the device files, and operate your Raymoto R1 / R1 Pro using LightBurn.
(Compatible with 1.7.08. Compatibility with 2.0 and later versions is still under development.)

Although the firmware of the R1 / R1 Pro has been thoroughly tested, software or hardware incompatibilities may still occur in certain situations.

If any errors occur due to incompatibility, please contact our after-sales team via a support ticket for technical assistance and possible solutions.

To ensure compatibility with LightBurn, your device firmware must be version 1.0.51 or higher.
If not, update your firmware first.


1. Update Your R1 / R1 Pro Firmware

To use LightBurn with the R1 / R1 Pro, make sure the firmware is 1.0.51+.
If your version is lower, update the firmware before proceeding.

2. Download & Install LightBurn

Visit the official LightBurn website to download and install the software.

LightBurn offers a free 30-day trial.
After the trial period ends, a valid GCode License Key must be purchased to continue using the software.

Purchasing LightBurn

Go to the LightBurn Online Store and purchase: GCode License Key
(Only this version is compatible with Raymoto R1 / R1 Pro.)

After purchase, LightBurn will send your activation key and instructions via email.

3. Import Raymoto Configuration Files into LightBurn

Before using LightBurn with your R1 / R1 Pro, you must import the required .lbdev device configuration files.

You should have two files available for download:

4. Add the R1 / R1 Pro to LightBurn

Follow the steps below to set up your device.

Step 1 — Connect the Machine

  1. Plug the machine into the power outlet.

  2. Connect the machine to your computer using a USB cable.

Step 2 — Open LightBurn & Go to Devices

Click Devices in LightBurn.

Step 3 — Import the Raymoto Device File

Click Import.

Then select the R1 / R1 Pro .lbdev file and click Open.

Step 4 — Add the Device

After importing, select the newly added Raymoto device and click OK.

Step 5 — Select Connection Port & Settings

  1. Choose the correct USB port where the machine is connected.

  2. In the Start From dropdown, select: Absolute Coordinates

This ensures accurate positioning.

Step 6 — Confirm Successful Connection

Click the Console tab.If LightBurn displays: OK

Your device has been connected successfully.
